Halfway done with HBOT

We have done 22 treatments so far and have 18 more to go. Brayden has been doing well in the hyperbaric chamber. He has had a little bit of a cough but otherwise he has been well. We have been tired and hungry from doing the hbot, but things are so much better this time without having to deal with the trach. The weather has been cold and rainy most of the time but it was nice and sunny today. We hope it stays that way. We had a great Easter, Curtis and the kids came up and nanny and pawpaw were here too. Kaitlyn hunted eggs and we ate a good dinner. So everything is going good for now.

Doing HBOT at Miracle Mountain

We have done 4 sessions of HBOT so far. It is snowing here and it is cold. We have gotten 5 inches or more of snow. It has been snowing all night and all day. Brayden is tolerating the HBOT very well this time. We are just sittin around watching the snow being bored, but glad to finally have internet connection! Kaitlyn has been playing in the snow all day and is so excited and wild because we hardly ever see snow. Brayden has been good and smiling and laughing all the time. We hope it warms up soon.

Brayden has been sick and was in the hospital Thursday and Friday. He has the flu and was dehydrated from vomiting. He has a horrible cough and really congested and really feels crummy. He is starting to feel some better now but is still pretty sick.

Happy Boy

Brayden seems to be all smiles now, laughing all the time. He is doing really well without his trach, too! He is having some sleep apnea and is wearing oxygen as needed at night, but otherwise he is doing really well. We are going for a sleep study later this month. We hope everything continues going well for him. We are still doing OT,PT,and ST. We are going back for more Hyperbaric Oxygen treatments in April and we may try to have a small fundraiser before then. I will post up as soon as we decide on something. Everyone pray that Brayden stays well and continues to make improvements.

No Trach Now!!!!!!

Brayden accidentally pulled his trach out on Saturday Morning. We couldn't get another one put back in. He wasn't having any trouble breathing so we took him to Gordon Hospital. By the time we got signed in and put in a room the hole in his throat where his trach was completely closed shut. By the time the doctor came in the room there was no putting the trach back in. He would have to have surgery to get it back in. They didn't want to deal with him there so he was transported to Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite by ambulance. Brayden was breathing fine all on his own. The doctors checked him out and said everything looked ok and sent us home. We were totally shocked. We thought surely we would be staying overnight for them to observe him there. Brayden has been breathing fine all on his own with no TRACH!!!!Everyone please pray that Brayden continues to do well without the trach!!!! We are so happy that it is finally gone and hope it stays that way!!!!
